Wow This all looks fab and its great that the community side of the field is taking shape too! I recently met the new headmistress of the local school and we have set a date for the school grounds clear up/gardening day that I mentioned in the last meeting. If anyone from this project would like to come and help we are meeting on Sat16th May at Ysgol Craig Yr Wylfa (behind the houses on the cliff). This is a good way to make links with the school for future co-operation and of course get loads more work done with your willing and able hands! Thanks, Ruth x
This is an initiative to create a space for local people to grow their own food in a communal environment. We are currently applying for funding from various bodies to support this project. Borth Community Council have generously begun this process with a grant toward the containment fence.
The fence went up in early March and work on allotments began immediately.
We are always taking applications from those wishing to be involved. Those wishing to become involved in the Community Gardens are more than welcome to come along and see what's happening. Sunday afternoons are usually a good time to come to the gardens as this is normally when the most action is happening.
Can we have a bit more notice of meetings please, I keep missing them because I can't check the site very often.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Bridget & Amos
Yup, sorry, my fault! I'll make sure that I give one week's notice by email from now on!
